My Life is Brilliant

friday - yay!

so it hasn't been the most normal week for me, in more ways than one. I had surgery on wed to repair a belly button hernia of all things ... i hear you, i mean who gets their belly button operated on????? i know ... i am just not a normal person! lol! so my tummy is a little tender ... but that is to be expected.
It was such a wake up call being in hospital, in the waiting room i met this lovely girl around my age (maybe younger) who had lung cancer, she had only just found out and was in hospital having a stint put in for the chemotherapy she would need to have. She was so positive and she had God on her side, which was just so refreshing. I had the utmost respect for her and the way she carried herself. Another lady was waiting to have IVF treatment ... one older lady was having a bunion removed ... yeh gross! and then this poor woman who was pregnant (and not pregnant enough to be ready to have her baby yet) was standing not far from me when her waters broke and she was rushed off to try and stop the labour i am guessing, as i found out she was only 24 weeks along ... the poor thing, i was offering up so many prayers as i waited for surgery myself for these poor people i had just met. I guess it makes you realise just how blessed you are when you have a healthy family, and have health yourself. We do take it for granted.
So that being sad ... have a fabulous weekend and count all your blessings, i don't have any fab pics to post ... didn't want to gross you out with the belly button! LOL!
