last night we went to a dinner party ... we have a group of 10 that alternate hosting dinner parties. So once a year we get to host one (i think its our turn next!)Last nights theme was Christmas in July ... and our hosts totally out did themselves. It was amazing to say the least. The menu was incredible ... the soup to start with was vanilla and truffle - HELLO, amazing. It was seriously the best soup i have ever tasted! EVER!

we had to bring a secret santa present to the value of $5 and the silliest gift one a prize, and who should win the prize .... yep, gary! this amazing gingerbread house which we've just cracked into! I seriously laughed so hard my cheeks were really aching! it was a funny funny night!Daisy got a present too ... how sweet does she look?
Katya had a friend over on friday after school, they cooked dinner (with my supervision) the new Donna Hay Kids mag is out and it has a kids only cooking section ... Katya is so into it, they did this great job and we all had fun putting it together. They made sunbacking chicken and then chocolate mousse for desert ... i was very impressed! so i think she's keen to do more cooking ....

Sounds like such a fun party! Afterall it is winter for you, right? That's the way Christmas is supposed to be :)
