we have just had a very social weekend ... my lil sister is back from her overseas travelling for 3 weeks with Steve her boyfriend. We love having them here, they are such great fun ... we went out for dinner on friday night with them and some of our friends ... I am not the best night owl ... and suffered on saturday needing to have a "nana nap" on saturday afternoon ... to then back up and head to a friend's 40th party last night. So i can tell you honestly ... that i am going to be soon to bed, as i am struggling after 2 late nights in a row! i am definiely a morning person and not a night owl! 
saturday saw some more progress on our balcony ...

i am loving the timber detail ... i can't wait till its finished out there!Today the weather was gorgeous ... it was ever so tempting to vege out and watch the Olympics all day but we decided to head to Sandgate and enjoy the sun. It was so funny watched Steve trying to get Daisy into the water ... she was not keen at all! The kids love the park up there ... so fun watching them having so much fun!
my newest addiction at the moment are chocolate cupcakes, after going to a local cafe here last week called Vanilla Pod ... i have been making chocolate cupcakes, they are soooooooo good, maybe i can sneak one in before bed! yum!

I LOVE the pic of Steve with Daisy. Doesn't look like she went in the water?? I love the pic of the girls also. They really look like they enjoy being together, as you kids did growing up too.
