HAPPY MAIL and 365 DAY and Art Journal

so i think i will organise a "happy mail" system this year. I was involved with one last year, and it was really fun. You will get someone's name and address and have to send them something in the theme of that month, it may be a colour or it may be a letter ... and it needs to be $5 - $10 max cost. or something handmade (which i prefer) so then you get "happy mail" sent to you each month ... and it totally brightens up your day!

i have been checking with a few of the girls in blog land and alot are taking the 365 days photography challenge, by Anna. Seen as i take some many photos ... and i love photography, i am going to jump on board too. so here are my first 8 days worth!

also. ... last year i did heidi's year to remember class which was very cool. as part of the class we completed a calender ... i really loved it so much, and its an awesome way of remembering the year in detail. so i am doing it again this year. we started by doing our goals .... to start off in the right direction. i am still in the process of outlining my goals completely ... but there are these catagories to follow: physical, spiritual, family and financial. on my LO i used a turn wheel and each of my photos is under and shows thru as you turn the wheel (i will confess it was inspired by one of heidi's lo's - i can't take the credit for the idea) but its a fun way of putting them all on one page.

i have just read emily's blog and this year she is doing an art journal journey ... so i am going to follow this too. last year i loved doing the deck of me cards, so i will find a suitable size (i'm thinking 6x6) to start it off ... the first word is "commit" .... will get to work on it tomorrow! yay!

i seem to have been making alot of birthday cards lately .... i guess there are alot of birthdays this month, including my loved one! his was on saturday. the girls helped me make him a chocolate cake .... which didn't seem to last long!

ok ... i am going to be a better blogger ... i know i've been slack, but i will have my photos to post each day now ... so i will see you alot more regularly!

edited to add my art journal page i completed tonight. The prompt being "commit" made me choose this photo of when we first met and chose our new addition to the family ... our puppy Daisy. I am doing 9 x 11 size pages for my journal! (btw my page is on acetate ... its hard to see)
